Second City will be dropping into Elk City for laughs.
Chicago’s legendary sketch and improvisation comedy troupe will perform this weekend at Elk City’s Pioneer Performing Arts Center located at the high school on the western edge of town.
Justin Ediger, the arts center manager says the name of Saturday night’s show is “The Best of The Second City…Second City Hits Home.”
It’s must-see entertainment and features the best sketches and songs from The Second City’s 55-year history made famous by superstars like Stephen Colbert, Steve Carell, Gilda Radner, Bill Murray and more– as well as their trademark improvisation bent.
Ediger says a number of extremely popular comedians today got their start in the Second City comedy troupe.
Ediger says the Pioneer Performing Arts Center is located at 1221 North Pioneer Street in Elk City and will host the comedy team as it celebrates 55 years of cutting-edge, satirical revues that launched the careers of generation after generation of comedy’s best and brightest.
He says it’s going to be funny!
Promising to be fresh, fast and always spectacularly funny, troupe members will also poke a little fun at Western Oklahoma and the good people of Elk City
