By Paragon News Director Paul Joseph –

The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) seized 140 pounds of marijuana and 11 pounds of assorted THC products earlier this week after a Texas Highway Patrol Trooper stopped a vehicle in Carson County.

At approximately 12:27 p.m., Monday afternoon, a DPS Trooper stopped a 2019 Cadillac XTS traveling east on I-40 near Conway Texas, for a traffic violation. A Canine unit arrived on scene and alerted on the vehicle. The Trooper then allegedly discovered multiple vacuum-sealed packages of marijuana and assorted THC products inside the trunk and back seat area.

The driver, 32-year-old Vanessa Bolash, of Vista, California, was arrested and charged with felony possession of marijuana and felony possession of a controlled substance. She was transported and booked into the Carson County Jail.

The drugs allegedly were being transported from Los Angeles, California through the Eastern Texas Panhandle and through Western Oklahoma to Tennessee.
