A Clinton man has been jailed in Beckham County on a large bond for trafficking illegal narcotics.
48-year-old James Henry Brumley, Junior, is in the Beckham County Detention Facility on a $200-thousand dollar bond. He’s facing two felonies and two misdemeanor drug related charges.
He was pulled over around 10:30 in the evening, earlier this month for having improper tag lighting. While issuing a warning to Brumley, the officer observed signs of nervousness in Brumley, including the observance of his blood pumping through his carotid arteries.
As the officer questioned one of the two passengers inside the vehicle, again, the Elk City patrolman observed nervousness.
A further inspection of the Hyundai the three were in allegedly turned up a Crown Royal bag with a smoking pipe thought to contain methamphetamine residue. Additionally found were containers and baggies that held what later tested positive as be methamphetamine, marijuana and heroin.
The meth weighed almost 76 grams, the marijuana 4.4 grams and the heroin weighed just over 7 grams.
His initial appearance in Beckham County District Court was Wednesday and he’s set for a preliminary hearing conference on November 19.
