Dead is 32-year-old Christopher Rudman of Hobart. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the two vehicle accident that happened Monday afternoon about 1:30 in Kiowa County.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Rudman was eastbound on State Highway 9 in a 2018 Hyundai and, for an unknown reason, ran off the right side of the road. He over corrected, crossing left of center striking a 2016 Toyota Tacoma driven by 63-year-old Chansy Bounthongla also of Hobart.
The accident happened about a mile-and-a-half east of Lone Wolf.
Rudman was not wearing a seat belt while Bounthongla was.
A Gould man, 72-year-old Vicente Micias, was transported to Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus this morning just after a 7:30 am accident on Highway 6 at County Road 192.
The OHP report says Micias was eastbound on a roadway on private property when for an unknown reason, his 1999 Ford pickup left the roadway for almost 400 feet before dropping off a 25-foot embankment impacting the ground below. He was taken to the hospital suffering from head an internal injuries.
The accident happened about five miles west of Olustee. Micias was not wearing a seat belt.
