Weatherford Police are looking for a man that’s been charged with the strangulation of his ex-fiance who is also the mother of his one-year-old child.
A warrant was issued on July 25 for the arrest of 19-year-old Bryce Tyler Foster of Weatherford who’s additionally charged with threatening to kill the woman.
According to a probable cause affidavit, police interviewed the victim – who additionally has a protective order against Foster – who said that the two had an argument that turned physical.
The court document says Foster wanted to use a vehicle to travel to Norman, but the ex-fiance told him no. He, allegedly, became angry and “began putting hands all over her,” according to the report, and then threatened to kill her with a .22 caliber gun.
Moments later, he allegedly used his hands to choke her, then punched her in the jaw with a closed fist. The suspect allegedly tried to choke her two other times during the incident and also slammed her head into the trailer where they lived.
She told police that she was finally able to escape in a vehicle saying that Foster threw rocks at her as she drove away.
Two witnesses allegedly corroborated much of her story. A neighbor told police that she didn’t witness the physical assault but heard the suspect aggressively screaming at the victim. She said she heard him threaten to get a .22 and put a bullet in her head and added that she heard Foster threaten the woman on several occasions.
A man who lives with the couple told police that he saw Foster “wrap up” the victim and “begin to throw her around.” The witness said he stopped Foster by physically pulling him off the woman and said he witnessed the suspect with his hands around her throat. He added that he heard Foster threaten her with a .22 caliber gun.
Foster, who has no criminal history, is wanted on a warrant with bond set at $25-hundred dollars.
He was charged in late July with domestic assault and battery by strangulation – a felony – and threatening to perform an act of violence, a misdemeanor.
