By Paragon News Director Paul Joseph –

The recent tornado has wrecked havoc on lives and property and has now forced the one-week postponement of a large, Western Oklahoma music festival, the Buckin’ Wild Music Fest.

The festival has been postpone one week due to the tornado and its clean up. Promoter Donny Liles says its for the best all the way around – for everyone.

Liles says the festival will be Friday and Saturday, next week and they’ll still be great camping and he’s hoping to have a complete schedule of events on Thursday, the day before, but he’s not sure how many bands can made it that night.

Liles says he’s changed the pig roast to Saturday night from 3-5 and its for everyone, but there will be complimentary admission to the pig roast for all of the tornado’s first responders, police, city employees and other city officials as well as all those who suffered a loss from the tornado. Additionally, Liles says the first responders as well as past and current military veterans will get in free to the festival.

The music festival, this year, is turning into – additionally – a kind of fund raiser for those in need.

The Buckin Wild Music Festival is officially moved to Friday and Saturday, June 2 and 3 with a possibility of a full schedule on Thursday, but that’s to be confirmed as the date gets closer, Liles says.
