By Paragon News Director Paul Joseph –

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is still waiting on the State Medical Examiners office to complete the autopsy of a North Dakota man whose body was recently found in the Washita River.

39-year-old Thomas Beebe’s body was pulled from the water a half-mile north of the Washita County line by Custer County sheriff’s deputies, Clinton firemen and a state medical examiner around 4:30 on Wednesday, April 5.

Eddie Johnson with the Oklahoma Medical Examiner’s office in Oklahoma City says the autopsy isn’t completed yet and it may take another 30-60 days for the results to be made public.

OSBI spokeswoman Jessica Brown told Paragon Communications there are no new details surrounding the case as of today and her office is waiting on the medical examiner’s office.

Beebe had most recently been staying with his mother at Los Lunas, New Mexico, a small town of about six-thousand people.

He’s been on probation in North Dakota, but had been given permission by authorities to move in with his mother.

Brown says her office is investigating how Beebe got from New Mexico to the Washita River where his body was found.

Its reported that the state medical examiner’s office found suspicious injuries on his body. They also were able to identify him as Beebe.
