A convicted felon from Weatherford is back in jail, again for drug charges.
53-year-old Ronnie Lee Reyes is due in court in early next month on a charge of possession of a controlled, dangerous substance, after former conviction, two or more felonies. He’s also charged with a misdemeanor of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Reyes is in the Custer County Jail today on a $20-thousand-dollar bond after being arrested during a “knock and announce search.”
Investigators recently executed a search warrant on a home in the 300 block of Anderson in Weatherford and allegedly found multiple drug items including a syringe with liquid and a mirror with residue that later tested positive for Methamphetamine.
According to a probable cause affidavit, when Weatherford police executed the search warrant on the mobile home, officers say they could hear a commotion inside that sounded like occupants moving to the south end of the home and could hear the residents talking.
Finally the front door was unlocked and the officers entered to find six people, two women and four men either sitting on or around a bed in the middle of the south bedroom.
There, they found a mirror with white residue, the syringe with liquid, a spoon with residue, along with a card with a name of one of the residents of the home and a cigarette pack that contained a bag with a white crystal substance.
All of the alleged evidence was located on the bed except for the spoon which was located on a radio on the east wall of the bedroom.
Reyes was placed under arrest and taken to the Weatherford Police Department.
His criminal record includes felony DUI, possession of CDS, endeavoring/conspiring to deliver a CDS and distribution of a CDS.
He’s due in Custer County District Court on February 3 for a preliminary hearing conference.
