Oklahoma’s Democratic Gubernatorial Candidate says there are very real differences between he and his opponent. He says that’s one of the main reasons he’s running for the top elected spot in Oklahoma.
Drew Edmondson says from growing up in Muskogee to serving in the Navy and then as Oklahoma’s Attorney General for 16 years, Edmondson has spent his entire life fighting for the people of Oklahoma.
He says he thought he was through with public, political life, but there was no one advocating the kind of change that Oklahoma needs.
Edmondson says while Attorney General for Oklahoma, he stood up to Wall Street, Big Tobacco, and the special interests who tried to take advantage of Oklahoma families, farmers, and small businesses.
He adds that, if elected Governor, he’ll put Oklahomans first and move the outside interests and partisan politicians, outside.
He says that’s one of the many things he’ll do for Oklahoma that his opponent won’t.
Edmondson says while his opponent will take health care away from Oklahoman’s, he’ll make sure they get it and help small, rural hospitals stay open.
Edmondson says Oklahoma needs responsible, experienced leadership, the courage to stand-up to special interests, and a thoughtful plan to get our state working again and mentions four critical areas. Fixing Oklahoma schools, the broken government, holding down taxes on Oklahoma families and putting people first on healthcare.
Friday night, Paragon News profiled Edmondson’s Republican opponent, Kevin Stitt.
Tomorrow night, we’ll find out which one will determine Oklahoma’s future.
