Fatality Accident Quigley – Update

The Elk City motorcyclist that was involved in an accident near a state park in Woods County has died.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, 64-year-old Odie Quigley of Elk City died early this morning at OU Medical Center from the injuries he suffered in a wreck with a pickup just before 3 pm Saturday afternoon.

According to the OHP report, Quigley was riding a 2010 Harley Davidson motorcycle on US Highway 281 near the entrance to Little Sahara State Park, approximately two miles south of Waynoka in Woods County and was thrown about 10 feet from the motorcycle after impact.

The 2005 Ford, F-250 pickup involved in the accident was driven by 22-year-old Blake Wondra of Ensign, Kansas. Neither Wondra nor his passenger, 20-year-old Brittany Palmberg, also from Ensign, was injured and were both wearing seatbelts.

The report also says the conditions of both occupants in the pickup was apparently normal, however, at last report, the accident remains under investigation.

Quigley died at 1:34 am this morning.
