Fatality Injury Accident Juvenile Females

Two juvenile girls are dead as a result of a high speed chase and wreck in Woodward County.

The car was driven by a 14-year-old boy from Vici.

Three of the passengers in the 2009 Chevy Impala were ejected from the vehicle during a roll-over, two of which were pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

All of the passengers and the driver were under the age of 15.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol report, the Chevy was traveling west on 20th Street and failed to stop at a stop sign at an intersection. Woodward Police attempted to initiate a traffic stop, but the vehicle continued on accelerating to a high rate of speed.

The report says the car struck a curb at an intersection where it went airborne and rolled, ejecting the three juveniles.

The driver and another 14-year-old boy from Vici were treated and released at AllianceHealth Woodward and a fifth person, a 13-year-old boy, also of Vici was air transported to OU Children’s Hospital in Oklahoma arriving there in stable condition with a leg injury.

The deceased is a 12-year-old girl and a 13-year-old girl, both from Woodward.

the accident happened in Woodward just a few minutes before 1 am at the intersection of 20th Street and Madison Avenue.

Only one was wearing a seat belt, the 14-year-old passenger who was treated and released by the hospital.
