A tattoo has led to a second felony charge for a Hammon man.

31-year-old Christopher Garrett Williams, already in jail for first degree rape, has been charged with knowingly concealing stolen property.

The new charge stems from a stolen I-phone, a debit card and cash stolen from an employee at Grace Living Center in Clinton.

According to a probable cause affidavit, the alleged rape victim told police that she thought her ex-boyfriend was having sex with her until the suspect turned on a light and she realized it was someone else that had been in bed with her, alleging it was Williams, a man she’d known about 10-years.

The alleged rape occurred at an apartment complex in the 2200 block of West Modelle Avenue in Clinton, the alleged victim’s residence.

According to a second probable cause affidavit, five days before the rape, a Clinton Detective was called to Grace Living Center in reference to a grand larceny. There, one of the workers told police she was missing her maroon in color wallet phone case, her Visa debit card and $12-dollars in cash.

The victim told police that her card and been used at Taco Dell and Dollar general in Clinton.

Following the report, the detective met with the manager of Dollar General and observed video surveillance showing a man matching the description of Williams. What identified the man as Williams, according to the affidavit, was a large tattoo on his inner left arm.

Williams, having already been jailed on the rape charge, was found to have the same tattoo on his inner left arm as the suspect in the Dollar General Security footage.

Williams is due in court for a preliminary hearing on both charges on November 4 at 9 am.
