The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating an accident on the interstate that’s claimed the life of a Hinton man.
The OHP is reporting that 62-year-old Mark Gomer was killed Thursday night when his 2007 Ford F-150 departed the interstate to the right, then overcorrected sending the vehicle to the left, departing the roadway and striking a tree.
Gomer was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident with head injuries. The wreck happened about six miles east of Hinton in Canadian County.
The accident happened about 8:40 pm as Gomer was traveling westbound on Interstate 40.
