Bond hasn’t been set yet for an Elk City man accused of killing his mother.

50-year-old Adolph LeGrand, Junior was transferred to the Beckham County Detention Center Tuesday and is expected to be arraigned tomorrow, Thursday, on a number of charges including second degree murder.

78-year-old Clara Marie LeGrand was found by police at her home on Tuesday – one week ago – around 5:30 pm after a family member requested a welfare check to be performed. She was found unconscious with severe trauma to her head and taken to Great Plains Regional Medical Center and then transferred to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City.

LeGrand, who was found at his mother’s home at the same time police arrived, was questioned.   A search of his home two days later resulted in his arrest for possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Clara LeGrand died on Friday evening around 9:30 following the discontinuation of life support and Adolph Legrand who was in the Elk City jail was additionally booked on second degree murder.

His arraignment is set for 1:30 Thursday afternoon in Beckham County District Court.
