A Mountain View teenager has died after being involved in a single vehicle accident in Washita County.

According to the collision report provided by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at 8:03 a.m. Wednesday on OK-115, 2 miles north of Mountain View when the 2005 Ford F-350 driven by a 16-year-old female departed the road to the right, entered back onto the highway and would cross the center line. Troopers say the vehicle would then depart the road to the right once again before overturning and rolling an undetermined amount of times. Troopers said this would cause the driver to be ejected from the vehicle.

Authorities said the driver was pronounced deceased at the scene of the accident.

Due to the victim’s age, the name of the driver was not released.

The report stated that the driver was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and that the cause of the collision is still under investigation.
