During the latest Clinton City Council meeting, Clinton officials approved to revoke the city’s mask mandate.
City Manager Robert Johnston says the council made the decision based on the amount of vaccinations distributed in the area and the dramatic drop of positive COVID-19 cases in Custer County, and in Clinton.
Johnston says even though the city wide ordinance requiring masks in city owned buildings has been lifted, it is still up to local business owners if they would require the use of masks while in their buildings.
The council approved to end the city’s mask mandate this Friday on a 4-0 vote.
