An Altus man has turned himself in to authorities after being wanted in connection with a shooting that took place earlier this month.
According to Altus Police, 20-year-old Dewayne Eugene Ring III surrendered himself to law enforcement officials at the Jackson County Jail late Wednesday afternoon. He was wanted on charges of shooting with intent to kill and assault and battery after allegedly being involved with the shooting of a 17-year-old on the evening of May 2.
Two other suspects, 19-year-old Tristian Cantu along with a 17-year-old juvenile were arrested and charged last week with shooting with intent to kill and assault and battery after warrants were issued for their arrest through the Jackson County District Court. A resident of the home where the suspects were found was also arrested. 46-year-old Guadalupe Robles was taken into custody on a charge of harboring a fugitive.
Ring along with Cantu and the 17-year-old juvenile suspect are being held at the Jackson County Jail. Bond has been set at $250,000 dollars on both Cantu and Ring while the juvenile is being held on a $500,000 bond
