Roger Mills County officials have announced their intention on re-opening the county courthouse.

According to a press release, the Board of Commissioners have decided on a phased re-opening process beginning on Monday. Officials say visitors will be allowed to access the County Clerk’s office by appointment only, while all other offices will continue to follow current procedures with no public access.

To protect the workforce, the county has implemented policies and procedures that include all visitors required to complete a self-assessment form prior to entering the courthouse. Entry to any office or facility will be denied if any questions are answered “Yes” or if a visitor refuses to complete the self-assessment. All visitors shall arrange visits ahead of time in order to provide ample time for completion, submission, and review of the self-assessment form. All visitor’s temperatures will be screened via an external digital thermometer, and all visitors will be required to wear a disposable mask and gloves while in the office. If the visitor does not have their own, a supply of each will be available at the courthouse entrance.
