A weekend shooting in Weatherford has left one man dead and another man facing a first degree murder charge.
According to the Weatherford Police Department, 21-year-old Cole Isacc Phillips was arrested Saturday after he allegedly shot his friend after they had been in an argument. According to officials the shooting occurred Saturday afternoon in the 700 block of East College Street. Police were dispatched to the location after the reporting person allegedly had told a 911 operator that he had shot his friend. According to officials, when police arrived they found the victim, a 20-year-old male, had already succumbed to an apparent gunshot wound.
Police say Phillips was arrested Saturday, and one charge of first degree murder were submitted to the Custer County District Attorney’s Office.
