Christmas Connection volunteers in Clinton have kicked off their donation and fundraising campaign for the upcoming holiday season.
Treasurer Lisa Wandrie (wand-ree) says Christmas Connection has been supplying kids in both Clinton and Arapaho with toys for the past 30 years. She says the organization will take monetary and toy donations and set up a store-like atmosphere that allows parents to shop for their kids.
Wandrie says Christmas Connection serves around 350 kids each year, however that number has reached as high as 600.
She says anyone wanting to donate toys can do so at Kluver’s, Interbank of Clinton, and Farmers Insurance in Clinton. Wandrie also says anyone wanting to make a monetary donation can do so at Interbank or by mailing a donation to P.O. Box 1251 in Clinton.
This year’s Christmas Connection event will take place at the Custer County Fairgrounds on Saturday, December 7th.
