Traveling at an unsafe speed sent two juveniles to an Oklahoma City hospital following an accident in Washita County. Two others, an adult and a 4-year-old, were treated and released at Weatherford Regional Hospital.
The two juveniles that were hospitalized, and who’s names are being withheld, are both female, one age 9 and the second almost 2 years old.
The two were passengers in a vehicle driven by 38-year-old Jennifer Ann Weber of Corn. Weber and the three children, who were all also from Corn, were traveling east on County Road 1130 in a 2006 Chevrolet Impala last Friday afternoon about a mile-and-a-half west of Corn.
Also east bound was a 1984 Kenworth dump truck driven by 61-year-old Allen Darrell Lee of Colony.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol report, the dump truck slowed to make a right turn and swung wide to turn into a field. The report says Weber thought the dump truck was turning left and continued driving ahead, rear-ending the dump truck.
Lee was not injured in the accident that happened about 3 pm.
