Saturday night is Valentine date night in Sayre as Untitled Pop-Up Theatre brings a romantic comedy performance to town.
Director and producer Tiphani Currell says Untitled Pop-Up Theatre is kind of like a traveling Western Oklahoma theater doing different productions around the area.
Currell says the lead character in the play will take audience members back to a simpler time, before booty calls, speed and internet dating – when fidelity was more than a name of a banking firm.
The two-person cast features Tomara Armstrong and Chance Neal and the two will entertain three times this weekend, Friday night, Saturday night and Sunday afternoon.
It’s a funny comedy to celebrate a great holiday with a special person.
Saturday night, though, is being called Dinner Date Night as the theater troupe has partnered with The Brick Coffee and Sandwich Shop to offer a full dinner before the show.
Performances are Friday and Saturday night at 7:30 and Sunday, the matinee is at 2:30 in Sayre at the Walnut Activity Center at 110 West Walnut. It’s in coordination with Sayre’s River’s Edge Arts Society.
