Clinton’s hospital keeps delivering on its promise to expand services for Western Oklahoma patients.
AllianceHealth Clinton recently hired Certified Nurse Midwife Lela Cupp to support their idea of expansion in the OB department. Cupp has been with Alliance Health Clinton as a Registered Nurse in the labor and delivery department since April, but branched out two weeks ago as a Nurse Midwife at the hospital.
Hospital CEO Landon Hise says before heading to Clinton, she was a midwife at Great Plains Regional Medical Center in Elk City and is a graduate of Merritt High School. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 2010 and a Master of Science Degree in Nursing, Certified Nurse Midwife from Frontier Nursing University in 2015.
Hise says her expertise fits in nicely with AllianceHealth Clinton’s vision and direction in the OB department.
Hise says Dr. Michael Hensley has been with the hospital for eight years and is AllianceHealth Clinton’s OBGYN. Hensley is certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and he’s trained in robotic surgery. He completed his residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock after earning his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine.
Hise says he and other hospital leaders saw an O.B. need to be filled.
Hise refers to Hensley and Cupp as a great team that will provide great service to the Wester Oklahoma region.
