Foggy conditions may have contributed to an accident that sent a Borger, Texas man to a nearby hospital.

He’s reported to be in stable condition with neck injuries.

37-year-old Steven L. Murray is recuperating in Northwest Texas Healthcare Hospital in Amarillo after first being sent to Roger Mills Memorial Hospital Tuesday morning.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Murray was driving a 2005 Peterbilt tractor/trailer rig east on State Highway 33 north of Roll in Beckham County. The report says Murray was traveling too fast for a turn onto State Highway 283. His rig overturn ¾ times coming to rest in the east ditch.

The accident happened about 6:25 am and the driver’s condition was thought to have been apparently normal at the time of the accident.

The semi tractor was equipped with seat belts and they were in use.
