One person was admitted while three others from Western Oklahoma were treated and released at various hospitals following a wreck in Kingfisher County.
32-year-old Ricky Gonzales of Clinton is recuperating at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City arriving there in stable condition with internal and arm injuries. Gonzales was a passenger in a vehicle driven by 51-year-old Lucio Vazquez Garcia, also of Clinton, who was treated and released at Mercy Hospital in Kingfisher.
The accident happened Thursday morning around 7 am.
A third and fourth passenger, one from Weatherford and the other from Clinton, were additionally treated and released at the same hospital.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol report, the Ford F-250 that Garcia was driving southbound on County Road N-2700 and approaching an intersection was hit by a 2011 Kenworth semi driven by 22-year-old Edward Wayne Howerton of Choctaw.
Howerton was uninjured in the wreck.
The report says Howerton, who was westbound on E-0820 and arriving at the same intersection, failed to yield the right away to the pickup and collided.
All were wearing seat belts except for a fourth passenger in the Ford.
