A 26-year-old Hollis man has been arrested for making a bomb threat to the business where he worked.
Collin Lee Pantoja is in the Greer County jail on a $250-thousand dollar bond awaiting a date with his attorney.
According to a probable cause affidavit, employees were evacuated from the Mangum Brick Plant on July 26 when the threat came by way of cell phone about 4:56 pm and Greer County Dispatch received the notice at 5:05 pm.
A number of law enforcement agencies were called in to investigate including the Altus Air Force bomb squad. No bomb was found and no one was hurt.
During the investigation, law enforcement was notified of the number of the alleged caller and when a call was placed to that number, Pantoja answered the phone.
During a later interview, Pantoja told investigators he couldn’t explain how his phone was used in calling in the bomb threat.
Pantoja’s initial appearance was last Thursday and he’s due in court for a preliminary hearing conference with his attorney this Thursday in Greer County District Court.
