A Dill City man is being held in the Washita County jail on a bond of a quarter-of-a-million dollars and ordered to have no contact with the alleged victims.
36-year-old Billy Joe Hall has been charged with a number of felonies following an incident on July 18 at a home in the 500 block of Meta in Cordell.
District court documents allege that Hall forcibly kicked in the door and breaking a dead bolt lock of a residence where a woman lived with a 14-year-old. The information adds that Hall confined both the adult victim and the child against their will.
He’s charged with first degree burglary and two counts of kidnapping, all felonies as well as trespassing after being forbidden, a misdemeanor.
Hall his other felony convictions and faces up to life in prison if he’s convicted.
He was convicted in Beckham County in 2011 of domestic abuse – assault and battery and intimidation of a witness and given five years in the DOC with all but the first two years suspended.
In 2013, he was convicted of unauthorized use of a vehicle and sentenced to five years with all but the first 6 months suspended.
He’s due back in Custer County District Court on his latest charges on August 27 when he has an attorney date and again on September 25 for a preliminary hearing conference.
