After allegedly pulling a gun on a man and ordering him into a vehicle to go get some stuff fixed, the suspect later returned and apologized.

A warrant for his arrest has been issued for the suspect, 25-year-old Hugo Edwardo Martinez-Cardona who is being sought after by the Washita County Sheriff’s Office in the alleged incident that happened in mid-July.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Martinez-Cardona took issue with another man who had allegedly been talking to Martinez-Cardona’s ex-wife. The document says Martinez-Cardona tracked the man down at a farm northwest of Sentinel where the man was visiting friends.

The court papers say Martinez-Cardona, who is also known as, “Chewy,” pulled into the farm gate in a charcoal gray Ford F-150, got out and asked a man to come over to him. When the man did, Martinez-Cardona allegedly pulled out a black revolver with wood grips and told the victim to get into the vehicle and that they were going to leave and fix stuff.

The affidavit says the victim refused to get in. Martinez-Cardona then, allegedly, fired two rounds at the victim’s feet then left.

The report adds that Martinez-Cardona soon returned back to the property and apologized to the property owner for going onto his property adding that he only had a problem with the victim, not the property owner.

The probable cause affidavit says there is a recorded video containing statements made by Martinez-Cardona allegedly threatening to kill the victim.

A warrant for Martinez-Cardona’s arrest was issued with a $50-thousand dollar bond.
