An Arkansas man is due in court next week on two counts of felony concealing stolen property.
Until then, he’s free on bond.
48-year-old Travis Howard Hill is due back in Beckham County District Court next week for a preliminary hearing conference with his attorney and a judge after bonding out of the county detention facility earlier this month.
Hill is accused of knowingly concealing stolen property.
According to a probable cause affidavit, Beckham County deputies suspect Hill is responsible for several stolen items, mostly tools and saws. Following an investigation, investigators found 27 stolen items including a Dodge pickup, stolen from Greer County.
Hill was first charged in March with his first count of knowingly concealing stolen property and again in April following an investigation that began in January.
The affidavit says deputies along with officers with the Elk City Police department met at a residence in Sayre in early January to investigate multiple reports of stolen property. They had reason to believe the property was stored in the 11-thousand block of North 1940 Road in Beckham County.
The execution of a search warrant turned up the missing items and Hill was arrested and taken into custody on April 21 for his alleged involvement.
The Texarkana, Arkansas man has a lengthy criminal history including five prior convictions including grand larceny in Creek County, Oklahoma.
He bonded out of jail on two bonds totaling $15-thousand dollars on May 2 and is due back in court on Thursday, May 31 with a preliminary hearing set for July 10 in front of Judge Michelle Roper.
