Two men have been hospitalized following a motorcycle accident in Kiowa County.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol report, each was riding a motorcycle when one bumped the other sending them both sliding down the roadway.
33-year-old Devin Hunter is in serious condition at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City where he was transported following the 8:35 pm accident Monday night. The driver of the other motorcycle, 33-year-old Jesse Bain is reported to be in stable condition with head and external injuries in Elk View General Hospital where both were initially taken.
The OHP report says the two were traveling south together on US Highway 183 when Bain’s 2005 Suzuki Esteem struck the back of Hunter’s 2002 Yamaha Ninja causing both vehicles to lay down on the highway. Both were thrown an unknown distance after impact.
The conditions of both drivers are under investigation, but the report says the cause of the accident is following too closely.
The accident happened about a half-mile south of Kiowa County Road E/W 1380 about a mile and a half southeast of Hobart.
