Personal Injury Accident Jessip

Alleged failure to stop at a stop sign on a state highway in Custer County sent the driver of a semi to an Oklahoma City hospital.

The mishap also sent three others to an area hospital where they were treated and released.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, 51-year-old Kirk A. Jessip of Cordell to AllianceHealth Clinton Hospital Saturday morning. He was then transferred to St. Anthony’s Hospital in Oklahoma City arriving there in stable condition with head and neck injuries.

According to the report, Jessip was westbound on Highway 33 and failed to stop at a stop sign at the highway 183 junction, striking a 2007 Ford F250 on the passenger side.

The pickup was driven by 25-year-old Miguel A. Velascolanderos, of Santa Ana, California who was treated and released at AllianceHealth Clinton as well as two others riding with him.

The accident happened on Saturday morning just before 6:30 am, about four miles west of Custer City.
