A Kingfisher woman, previously convicted two other times for drug possession, allegedly brought drug contraband into jail on a new arrest.
31-year-old Victoria Lynn Tointigh, previously from Sayre, was arrested early Friday morning by Elk City police on several outstanding warrants.
According to the police report, Tointigh was asked once when she was placed under arrest and again when arriving at the police department but before entering the jail if she had any drug contraband in her purse or personal belongings. Both times she replied that she did not, only personal items.
As a female booking officer began inventorying her belongings, Tointigh stated several times she only had personal items in her purse, though the report says she appeared nervous. The officer allegedly found a used syringe needle and an elastic band in her belongings.
Tointigh was a passenger in a vehicle that was pulled over about 12:30 am near the 300 block of West 20th Street for having a burned out brake light. The driver was given a warning and released.
Tointigh was arrested on warrants for failure to pay previous court fines on drug possession cases. She pleaded no contest to possession of a Controlled, dangerous substance and guilty to possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, both in November of 2013
