A Texas A&M professor and former Clinton High School graduate has accepted a position at OSU.
Dr. Alan Randolph Randy” Kluver was recently tapped by Oklahoma State University as it’s Dean of the School of Global Studies and Partnerships.
Kluver currently is professor of communications at Texas A&M and is also serving as the global faculty ambassador-Asia and as executive director of the Confucius Institute.
In his new position as dean, he’ll oversee the continued development, implementation and coordination of research and global education for OSU.
Among other duties, he’ll oversee the Study Abroad/National Student Exchange Office, the Center for International Trade and Development and Iranian and Persian Gulf Studies.
He received his BA from OU and his PHD from the Annenberg School for Communication at USC.
He’s a 1982 graduate of Clinton High School and will begin his post at OSU next month.
