One man remains in jail while another has bonded out after both being charged with drug possession. Both men are from Sayre.
42-year-old Martin Daniel Falls, Junior remains in jail today while the man he was with when arrested, 40-year-old Roy Lee Hasbell, Junior is out on bond. Both were in a vehicle where Elk City police allegedly found Methamphetamine.
According to a police report, the two were traveling south on South Highway 6 about 3:15 am on June 29. The vehicle first came to the attention of police because the pickup had a modified exhaust.
The two were pulled over near Lakeridge Road. Falls, the driver, was found to have a suspended license and a warrant out of Canadian County. He was placed under arrest and seated in the back of the patrol unit.
Hasbell was seated on a grassy area outside of their white Ford pickup.
During an inventory of the vehicle, police allegedly found a metal beer bottle fashioned into what police believe was a methamphetamine pipe. They also found another pipe and drug paraphernalia.
Police, allegedly, also found a baggie with a substance believed to be metha in the steering wheel cover. Martin allegedly told police that both the meth and the drug paraphernalia was his.
Both were charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and drug paraphernalia. Falls was additionally charged with driving with a suspended license.
