One Oklahoma City man is recuperating and listed in good condition today in an Oklahoma City hospital while a Seiling man escaped injury in a pickup/semi accident on the interstate in Oklahoma City.
32-year-old Dallas Jones was uninjured in the accident that happened Friday night that sent 28-year-old Darnell Hicks of Oklahoma City to OU Medical Center in serious condition.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol report, Hicks was driving a 2012 Chevy Silverado pickup westbound on I-40 when he, reportedly, fell asleep and drove into the back of the 2015 Kenworth driven by Jones. Hicks was taken to the hospital with head, leg and internal injuries following the accident that happened just before midnight, Friday night.
The accident occurred just east of May Avenue in OKC.
Hicks was not wearing a seat belt, while Jones was.
