By Paragon News Director Paul Joseph –

Out with the old and in with the new. That could be the 2017 slogan for this year’s edition of the Buckin Wild Music Fest.

Though it’s relatively the same music genre, lots of changes are coming to the outdoor music fest this spring with the most noteworthy, it’s location.

After three years in Erick, Oklahoma at Lost Creek Ranch, organizer and promoter Donny Liles decided on a new venue, Elk City Lake, using the music shell right in front of the lake. Liles says the last time it was used was about 20 years ago when Merle Haggard sang in it.

The 4th annual Buckin Wild Music Fest is next month, May 25-27, but the details behind the show continue in full swing with different tasks filling up his schedule every week.

Liles says hosting the music festival at Lost Creek Ranch was successful, but he says it was time for a change and working with the Elk City leaders has been a breeze.

Liles has thirteen musical groups lined up, so far, including the band in which his son – Stephen Barker Liles – plays, Love and Theft. However, he’s not just grabbing the names that will pull in the most people, he’s inviting a specific genre of musicians, like he’s done every year. That’s what’s unique about the Buckin Wild Music Fest. It’s unlike any other festival, anywhere.

Liles takes pride in putting together a unique blend of different styles of music that will be showcased during the three day festival.

He says its not too early to get tickets. For discounted tickets, go to www.KECOFM.com and follow the prompts for the promo code on the website. Or check out www.Buckinwildmusicfest.com.
